modern behavior and suppression in online spaces
Din is a multimedia documentary project about behavior and harassment in online spaces, and how that relates to underrepresented voices.
In this trailer, hear from two of the many people interviewed for this ongoing project-- Andrea Weckerle, the founder of CiviliNation, a non-profit organization taking a stand against online harassment, character assassination and violence, as well as from Michelle Duster, author, speaker and great-granddaughter of journalist and civil rights leader, Ida B. Wells.
This multimedia documentary project explores online behavior, harassment and abuse, as well as their consequences, through interviews and examples of suppressed voices across platforms both modern and historic. The project also looks at the responsibility law enforcement, legislators, and tech giants have to us, which wrestling with issues of safety and free speech.
